Blending documentation

and daydream...

Jasmine Latka’s collage and text-based works transform the mundane into sensual reflection. At its heart, her practice reclaims space for femininity and pleasure. Drawing inspiration from the liminal moments of the everyday, she weaves together fragments of found print ephemera to craft compositions that celebrate the unspoken yet deeply felt.
Her fascination with materiality and storytelling is rooted in her education at the British Film Institute (BFI), where she cultivated a love for fabricated and fictional worlds. Through her process, everyday materials are deconstructed and reassembled into layered works that explore themes of connection, vulnerability, and identity.
A neurodivergent artist, Jasmine’s dyslexia shapes her unique approach to language and composition. Words and imagery take on dual lives as both graphic symbols and vehicles for deeper meaning, reflecting her deeply personal lens on communication. Her style is defined by an intense focus on form, texture, and shadow, paired with a minimalist sensibility that commands attention.
Recent projects, including two photobooks and her ongoing exploration of contemporary culture through The State of Influence, reveal her ability to merge satire and sincerity. Her creative language is as much about reclamation as it is about discovery—a space where femininity, intuition, and neurodivergence converge to build new, liberated narratives.
Born in Lincolnshire, UK, and now based in Leeds, Jasmine’s work has been featured in exhibitions across Europe. She has also recently contributed visual support to Rephrase Magazine, accompanying a series of columns focused on femininity and eroticism in liberating writing.
